Shipping Policy

Here at Universal Iron Doors, we ensure the best possible experience for our clients. The first part of that experience is the consultation where we build and create your Custom Iron Door. However, many companies forget that Iron Doors Delivery is a key part of client satisfaction. Unfortunately, these companies often ship damaged doors. We recognize the frustration that this brings. We go above and beyond to ensure that our Iron Doors are not damaged.

 

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped but might be delivered on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order (including for backorders or custom order items), we will contact you via email or telephone.

 

Shipping rates and delivery estimates

Shipping charges and delivery estimates for your order will be calculated and displayed on your quotation.

 

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Universal Iron Doors is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

 

Shipment confirmation and order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

 

Residential Deliveries

Although Universal Iron Doors will include a lift-gate on the residential shipment, it will be required to have a minimum of 3-4 non-disabled persons on-site to unload. While the shipping company might be able to use the lift-gate, it is against LTL Safety Guidelines for them to utilize a lift-gate if there is any overhang. Most products are larger than any standard lift-gate, which requires non-disabled persons on-site to unload from inside of the truck if the driver does not suggest operating the lift-gate.

 

Commercial Deliveries

For Business/Commercial deliveries, lift-gate is not provided. All products will be delivered curbside, or to a loading dock. If a loading dock is not available, a fork-lift is required.

 

Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for any costs or fees (including but not limited to storage and re-delivery) that are a result of the failure to take the delivery on the date and time it has been scheduled. The shipping company will contact the customer directly to schedule the delivery. For your comfort, a tracking number and other delivery information will be provided to you once your order ships from our warehouse. After your consent for shipment, if for any reason you cannot accept delivery of the door when it arrives at the indicated terminal near you, you will be responsible for any storage fees charged by the shipping company. Universal Iron Doors will not be able to allow your delivery without collecting those storage fees in advance.

 

Delivery Payments

It does not need to pay any amount to the delivery staff at the time of delivery or any other time. Universal Iron Doors is responsible for making direct payments to the shipping company. Any payments made by the customer to the shipping company or its agents, for additional or existing services, will be at the customer’s discretion and will not be refunded by Universal Iron Doors under any circumstances.

 

Change of Delivery Address

Any modifications made to the delivery address must be sent in writing (Email or Fax) to Universal Iron Door’s office up to 2 hours of placing the order.

 

Invalid Delivery Address

If the delivery address is invalid or inaccessible, the customer accepts to pay the purchase order amount and the additional delivery charges. We strongly recommend picking up the order from the shipping company`s terminal or any location other than the invalid or inaccessible delivery address since Universal Iron Doors will not be responsible for any damages.

 

Inspection

Universal Iron Doors takes extra steps before any shipment to make sure every product is carefully packaged with protecting materials to avoid any possible damages during delivery. Please note that Universal Iron Doors is not responsible for any damages that may happen during, upon, or after delivery.

 

Losses or Damages

In no event will Universal Iron Doors be liable to clients or anyone else for any incidental, consequential, special or indirect damage. This includes but is not limited to trading losses or damages, or lost profits that result from inconvenience or delay or loss of the use of the information related to this site, even if caused by the negligence of Universal Iron Doors and even in the event that the information has been informed of or is otherwise aware of the possibility of errors therein. Since the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages is not allowed in certain states, the above-mentioned limitation of liability will not apply in particular jurisdictions or cases. In no event will Universal Iron Doors’ full liability to a user for all damages, losses, and causes of action exceed the amount paid by the user, if any, for accessing this site.

If any damage is discovered after delivery, it should be reported to the Universal Iron Doors’ office immediately. Once contact has been made, the consignee will file a claim with the shipping company. Please hold the freight or shipping container until the shipping company completes the inspection and provides the resolution.

 

Return & Refund Policy

Returns will be accepted only if the return is sent within three days of the delivery confirmation date. A full refund of the purchase price, excluding the shipping, will be made promptly upon receiving the merchandise in the same condition in which it was shipped. There are no refunds on items damaged in shipping. In that case, you must file a claim with the carrier. Orders that are paid for with a credit card and returned will be assessed a $3.00 processing fee. All packages are to be fully insured. You must notify us of any return so that we will be expecting your package. Returns that are sent without our prior knowledge will be refused. We do not refund shipping costs or credit card fees. They will be deducted from the total amount of your refund.

 

Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses

We currently do not ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

 

International Shipping

We currently do not ship outside the U.S.

Universal Iron Doors will take no responsibility or liability for any damages to the products, personal injury to an individual, or any other sort of issues that may occur during the delivery process.
